Nearly Countable Dense Homogeneous Spaces

چکیده
We study separable metric spaces with few types of countable dense sets. We present a structure theorem for locally compact spaces having precisely n types of countable dense sets: such a space contains a subset S of size at most n−1 such that S is invariant under all homeomorphisms of X and X \ S is countable dense homogeneous. We prove that every Borel space having fewer than c types of countable dense sets is Polish. The natural question of whether every Polish space has either countably many or c many types of countable dense sets is shown to be closely related to Topological Vaught’s Conjecture.

Countable Dense Homogeneity of Definable Spaces
We investigate which definable separable metric spaces are countable dense homogeneous (CDH). We prove that a Borel CDH space is completely metrizable and give a complete list of zero-dimensional Borel CDH spaces. We also show that for a Borel X ⊆ 2 the following are equivalent: (1) X is Gδ in 2 ω , (2) X is CDH and (3) X is homeomorphic to 2 or to ω . Assuming the Axiom of Projective Determina...
متن کاملCHARACTERIZING STABLE COMPLETE ERDŐS SPACE BY Jan
We focus on the space Ec , the countable infinite power of complete Erdős space Ec. Both spaces are universal spaces for the class of almost zerodimensional spaces. We prove that Ec has the property that it is stable under multiplication with any complete almost zero-dimensional space. We obtain this result as a corollary to topological characterization theorems that we develop for Ec . We also...
متن کاملNew Types of Almost Countable Dense Homogeneous Space
In 1972, Bennett studied the countable dense homogeneous CDH spaces and in 1992, Fitzpatrick, White, and Zhou proved that every CDH space is a T1 space. Afterward Bsoul, Fora, and Tallafha gave another proof for the same result, also they defined the almost CDH spaces and almost T1, T0 spaces, indeed they prove that every ACDH space is an almost T1 space. In this paper we introduce a new type o...
متن کاملOn Countable Dense and n-homogeneity
We prove that a connected, countable dense homogeneous space is n-homogeneous for every n, and strongly 2-homogeneous provided it is locally connected. We also present an example of a connected and countable dense homogeneous space which is not strongly 2-homogeneous. This answers in the negative Problem 136 of Watson in the Open Problems in Topology Book.
متن کاملOne-point extensions of locally compact paracompact spaces
A space $Y$ is called an {em extension} of a space $X$, if $Y$ contains $X$ as a dense subspace. Two extensions of $X$ are said to be {em equivalent}, if there is a homeomorphism between them which fixes $X$ point-wise. For two (equivalence classes of) extensions $Y$ and $Y'$ of $X$ let $Yleq Y'$, if there is a continuous function of $Y'$ into $Y$ which fixes $X$ point-wise. An extension $Y$ ...
